In a hospital there are many different possible water treatment processes: from water chlorination to maintain the water within correct chlorine content levels, through water softening systems, tower and boiler treatments, to purification equipment for biochemistry and dialysis (the latter being the most exacting requirement within a hospital).

Over the years, TRAMASA has specialised in this type of dialysis treatment. Today TRAMASA offers its clients the latest technologies in the production (multi-station or single-station for home dialysis) and distribution of purified water, together with supervision and maintenance by a technical support team specialising in this type of plants.

The approach followed by TRAMASA for this type of plants is as follows:

  • Design of a comprehensive physical-chemical and bacteriological treatment system to obtain purified water by means of a combination of ultrafiltration, single-pass or dual-pass reverse osmosis and electrodeionisation, sanitisable with chemicals or hot water, with all components made of sanitary materials.
  • Provision of safety systems and duplicate components to prevent stoppages.
  • • Installation of a distribution system to assure the chemical and microbiological quality at the points of use. Such a water distribution system may involve prior accumulation of water or without accumulation (on-line units). They can be made with sanitary plastic materials (PP, PVDF, PEX…) or using AISI 316L stainless steel components with orbital welds.

All TRAMASA equipment is designed and manufactured according to the following standard specifications: European pharmacopoeia (EU Ph), United States Pharmacopoeia (USP), FDA.

We offer a wide range of automation possibilities: from non-dialog digital control to operator interactive controls integrated into a general production process central control network (PLCs, touch-sensitive screen, SCADAS, GSM, Ethernet, etc).
